so glad you’re here

Dear Charlotte,

you came a few days early, which is welcomed. we have known you by name and thought of you often these past nine months. i cannot wait to meet you and kiss on you and snuggle your cute cute newborn face. you are precious.

now, miss charlotte monroe, here are some things you should know about the family god gave you: your parents are spectacular. beyond spectacular really. they are courageous and they are fierce. they have panache in all they do. you are blessed to have them. also, your mommy is the most beautiful woman i’ve ever seen close up.  and your siblings - where to start? bella. she is clever and curious and hilarious. she will have many plans for you.  she’s a smart girl so follow her and let her read books to you. jackson. people say your brother is sweet - he is, completely. he is also incredibly brave. he will show you an amazing world no one else can see. listen to him and imagine with him and sing alongside him. as far as siblings go, he’s aces.
